I believe this is going to be a huge hit for two reasons...first off a good laugh, Mommy confessions are usually pretty good gut busters. Second, it's just a great time to be real! I'm telling ya, being a mom is hard, it's stressful, it's nerve wracking but sometimes we just have to remember we're not alone...so here are 5 of my best/worst Simply Honest Confessions of a Mom! We'll make it a series and do 5 at a time, cause that's a lot of confessing!
#5- I'm just as terrified of Santa and the big-headed Easter Bunny at the mall as my kid, something about people in costumes have always freaked me out and I'm just fine skipping it.
#4- I sing Classic TV Theme Songs to my kids for lullabies to get them to sleep...some of my favorites are as follows: Family Ties, Growing Pains, The Wonder Years, The Facts of Life, and the Golden Girls...the 80s had the best theme songs in my opinion! Just go back and listen to some of the lyrics...they're deep!
#3- I'm a memory hoarder. I kept everything! I have each umbilical cord...I do!
#2- I went outside and collected snow in a zip-lock baggie from my oldest child's first snow! It was precious and magical! It's still in my freezer, right next to our almost 10 year old wedding cake topper and a syringe full of my breast milk...just being honest here!
#1- I started slacking...I don't have 2nd child's first snow and when it comes to the 3rd child, well to be honest I don't even remember if it snowed that year, I was up to my armpits in kids and couldn't make it over to the window to take a peek outside!! Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt could have flown by in a tornado...I wouldn't have known. You got cows you say, yeah well I got kids, loud ones that keep pooping everywhere!
Keep it Simple,
Hope
